    Paper map including: Cherisy, Quemappe, Vis-en-Artois, Haucourt, Remy, Fontaine Wood, Upton Wood, Fontaine-lez Croiselles, Hendecourt lez Cagnicourt,
    Riencourt lez Cagnicourt, Bullecourt. German trench lines in red with a penciled
    artillery projection rendered in squares: 13, 14, 15, 19, 20 and 21.

    Blair joined the army in 1915, was commissioned a 2
    nd
    Lt. in the R.F.A. He wounded at
    Longueval on the Somme in 1916, recovered and joined the RFC becoming an observer in the Fall of 1917. He joined No. 13 Sqd. (R.E.8’s) and flew
    168 combat hours. In the late Spring of 1918, he trained to become a pilot and may have instructed in England for the balance of the war.
    He came to Canada, then the US in 1924 where he served as a sales engineer for Citi
    es Service Oil and its subsidiaries.
