This is an original WW I document issued by the British East Surrey Regiment, London, Prisoners of War Fund. The letter was in reply to a mothers concern that her POW son was receiving care packages. The letter reassures the mother that yes her son is getting the packages & that they have been paid by the fund up till now. The letter also asks if the mother can send money to cover some of the cost. The letter is dated Dec 28th 1916 & signed by JK Longley.
Even though the letter has been folded, its in very good condition, no tears or fading. Its about 8" x 10" & despite the pictures the paper is white (the flash made some pics appear yellow).
The piece is being sold as is.
